Chelsea Home Shirt 09/10

Chelsea Home Shirt

For any True Blue, the Chelsea Home Shirt is worn with pride, especially those followers who remember the lows as well as the highs that we have seen in recent years. In days gone by, the choice was simple, the Chelsea Home Shirt or if you could get hold of one then the Chelsea Away Shirt. Times have drastically changed over the last 10-15 years with most of the Premier League teams sporting a wider range of football kits including Home, Away, Third and for those in the Champions League, a separate shirt for this competition too.

The most popular Chelsea Shirt will always remain the Home shirt but this isn’t where your choices end. Once you’ve decided on which shirt you want to buy, you can then choose to have he name of your Chelsea hero printed on the back too along with their squad number. So if your favourite Chelsea player is John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba or even Petr Cech then you can have this included as an extra.

Adidas currently manufacture the Chelsea Football Shirts and as part of a modern move they replaced last season’s polo collar with a more  streamlined neckline. Blue rubber piping printed with the words ‘Chelsea FC’ runs from the centre of the neckline to mid-chest level. Adidas also feature a body armour look on the current Chelsea Home Shirt with it’s  different textured panels adding a 3D definition to the shirt, making it look like the body armour for Carlo’s Blue and White Army.

As with all Adidas products the Chelsea Shirt features the trademark Adidas three stripes feature on the shoulders and sleeves.  However, new for the 2009/10 shirt is the interrupted pattern stopping at the edge of the shoulder and restarting at the ends of the sleeves.

Climacool material has been used which actively conducts heat & sweat away from the body through a combination of heat and moisture-dissipating materials, ventilation channels and three-dimensional fabrics that allow air to circulate close to the skin.
