Switzerland

As co-hosts for the Euro 2008 tournament, a lot is expected from this team despite being drawn in a tough group also featuring Czech Republic, Portugal and Turkey. Qualification from this group will be hard but if acheived will be a a deserving reward and parting gift for the Swiss Coach Jakob Kuhn who is stepping down as the Switzerland Coach at the end of the tournament.

Switzerland kick off against the Czech Republic on the 7th June, followed by games on the 11th and 15th against Turkey and Portugal, so by the middle of next month will Swiss dreams will be made or shattered. Kuhn has released his initial squad , but is awaiting on an update to the injuries of Patrick Müller and Philipp Degen, who will be given the chance to prove their fitness after being named in a provisional 26-man Switzerland squad for UEFA EURO 2008.
