Return to Premier League Action
This weekend sees the return of the Premier League following the recent break for the World Cup playoffs and international friendlies. Some teams will be drawing on their squads resources as som major players suffered injuries on their international duty, not all in the actual matches themselves.
Going in to the weekend, we still see Chelsea at the top of the league as they take on newly promoted Wolves at the fortress Stamford Bridge with Arsenal, currently in second place travelling to the north east to take on Sunderland whose form has dipped since the ‘beach ball’ incident against Liverpool.
Manchester United sitting in an unaccustomed third place going in to the weekend will look to make up ground when they take on everton at Old Trafford.
Other matches this weekend include Liverpool against Manchester City at Anfield which should prove an interesting challenge for Mark Hughes’s men as they continue to strive a top four position following the big money spending at the beginning of the season.
